Holy Ten is a very controversial but influential artist and he has just aired the first episode of his new podcast titled ‘Huchenjeri’ on youtube.
The first question i had when hearing about the podcast was; what could Holy Ten possibly talk about that is not self centered? Initially i found myself concluding that this is another scandal marred endeavor being utilized by Holy Ten to market his new album Risky Life 2. However, that could not be far from what i was about to watch. A very profound and concise video podcast that was elevated by the choice of guests. Tatenda lxa who recently produced the club hit Chiraa, joins Holy Ten, Mr Candy of Samanyanga Sounds , Jax Dabeatbully, Monrolve who is Holy Tens fitness coach, African Wine and El Viddo the man who needs no introduction for a 30 minute sitdown that left me drooling for more.
The premise of the podcast is quite simple and straightforward, an in-depth look and analysis at the local music and entertainment scene. That added with the zero censorship approach of the podcast and it is a sure win recipe, one can always count on Zimbabweans curiosity to drive views and generate income. Bringing Instagram Comment celeb (forgive me, I wonder what instagram commenters are titled) El Viddo into the mix was like adding chilli to a great barbecue, totally elevating the podcast from a producer based show like the Danny J Show into a people driven podcast. El Viddo easily stole the show with his charismatic, fearless demeanor voicing his concerns on the state of Zimbabwean music.
